HTTrack or commonly known as
Offline Browser is a freeware that provides services and copy services for all
existing content on a website (website copier) on a local directory on your
computer.
In addition to these general
functions of the details of the GPL licensed software which has a function as
follows:
- Building recursively all
directories: build directory is structured exactly like the one on the hosting
website that you downloaded.
- Getting HTML: Downloading HTML
files which incidentally is the master files of any type of website.
- Getting Images and other files:
Scan and copy all the files associated with websites in the form of images,
flash, icon, from the server to your computer.
- Arranges the original site's
relative link-structure: Maintain the structure of the links on each page.

- Filter: Before the download, you
can set filters to limit the files that you do not want. Existing filters on

filename.
- Downloading the activities,
HTTrack uses a Web crawler system work just as Google to crawl and index the
website which will be included in the database.
- To use this software, you need to
download and install it first.
- After the installation is
complete, it will show the language selection dialog box to be used in the
actual HTTrack. Please select the language you prefer and then click Next.
- Main Window is already open when

- In this second stage there are
three things you need to do in accordance with the form provided. These three

- New Project Name: Enter a new
name for the project that you created.
- Project category: Select a category

correctly click Next to go to the next stage.
- The third step is the most
important among the steps before or after. Here you will be asked to determine
what types of activities you do. The trick drag on the choice of Action
Dropdown box and select one of the existing list. The next type in the URL in
the box you want to Download Web Addresses (URLs) or click the Add URL to add
the URL of a file. And the last thing you need to do is click Next.
- The last step is to set the
connection and condition after the download. In the connection settings you can
see for yourself the option Please adjust connection parameters if Necessary,
then press FINISH to launch the monitoring operation. Meanwhile, on the remote
connect choose what action will be performed when the download is complete.
Disconnect when finished (disconnected the internet connection) or Shutdown PC.
When it is done the person who tinkers existing settings, click Next to perform
Download the - URL you have entered in the previous stages.
- HTTrack will monitor all data
contained in the website you mean then download them one by one for you. So,
all you have to do is sit back and say thank you on HTTrack Website Copier.
After all the download is
finished you can open the folder where you placed the downloaded file and run
the index file from the website in your browser (without internet connection).
