Packet
tracer is an interactive software for learning basic operations of the various
networking devices on the data link layer and layer of the OSI networking
model. This software is intended for initial teaching networking so that the
user can understand how some networking devices. It could be said that a packet
tracer is a network simulation program, so users can build their own networks,
observed "behavior" of the data frames and packets that pass through
routers, switches, and other equipment. The main purpose we use Packet tracer
is to help us understand the basic functions of the various networking devices,
and how the equipment handles frames and packets.
One
of the most valuable aspect of the packet tracer is the ability to run the
simulation after building / designing a network. Uer can create a network and
make some different network scenarios in the delivery of packets from different
sources to different purposes. -User can save and open files that have made it.
Cisco
Packet Tracer 5.3 is a Cisco solution for learners to create a temporary
network concept, perhaps it could also be applied to the actual implementation
of the network before making a truly real.
Packet
tracer kurikukum complement the Cisco Networking Academy to facilitate
teaching, demonstrating complex technical concepts and design a network system
with a number of devices is almost unlimited, encourage the practice,
discovery, and problem solving. Students can build, configure, and troubleshoot
networks using virtual equipment and connections are simulated, alone or in
cooperation with other students. Most importantly, Packet Tracer helps students
and instructors create their own virtual network world "" for
exploration, experimentation, and explanation of networking concepts and
technologies.
The
current version of Packet Tracer supports an array of simulation application
layer protocols, and basic routing with RIP, OSPF, and EIGRP, to the extent
required by the current CCNA curriculum. While Packet Tracer is intended to
provide a realistic simulation of a functional network, these applications only
use a small number of features found in the actual hardware is currently
running Cisco IOS. Thus, Packet Tracer network suitable for the production
model. With the introduction of version 5.3, which added several new features,
including BGP. BGP is not part of the CCNA curriculum. This is part of the CCNP
curriculum.
